Description

American imagist poet (1874-1925) whose work gained renewed interest with the women's movement in the 1970s. Signed book: John Keats, Vol. I. First edition. Boston: Houghton Mifflin, 1925. Hardcover, 6.25 x 9, 631 pages. Signed on the first free end page in fountain pen to the lesbian writer Mercedes de Acosta, "After a most pleasant evening, Amy Lowell, March 3rd, 1925, Mercedes de Acosta." A quote from Dante's Paradiso is penned above in another hand. In very good to fine condition, with edgewear, a cracked front hinge, rubbing, and sunning to spine.
