City of Philadelphia loan bond in the amount of $500 issued September 25, 1866, 15 x 8.5, featuring an ornamental border and ten engraved vignettes, including portraits of including Independence Hall, George Washington, William Penn, and Benjamin Franklin. Issued to George Earp, the bond is signed by the city's treasurer and controller. Nicely matted and framed to an overall size of 20 x 13.25. In fine condition.
