The medals—silver (32 mm, 19 gm, 925/1000) and copper (32 mm, 16 gm)—feature a front design of several runners with embossed text: “Tokyo 1964, XVII Olympiad”; and the reverse features the official Tokyo Games logo above Japanese text.
