Warner Bros. Records press kit material for the 1989 Tim Burton film Batman and Prince as the film’s songwriter. Originally, only the songs ‘1999’ and ‘Baby I'm a Star’ from earlier albums were slated to be used in the film, but Prince instead recorded an entire album's worth of material with Batman samples and lyrics; the material became the film’s soundtrack and served as Prince’s eleventh studio album. The press kit contains two satin-finish 10 x 8 publicity photos—one of Prince, and one of Kim Basinger, Michael Keaton, and Jack Nicholson—and a four-page media information packet that explains the background behind Prince’s involvement with the hugely successful comic book film adaptation. In overall fine condition.
