Description

Leading member of the Girondins during the French Revolution, writer on social causes, and founder of the abolitionist Society of the Friends of the Blacks (1754-1793) who was executed during the Reign of Terror at the age of 39. ALS in French, signed “Brissot de Warville,” one page, 6.5 x 7.25, no date. Untranslated handwritten letter to "Mon Cher Cousin." In very good condition, with scattered foxing and partial loss to left edge.
