The Yeats collaborator in America: "I am glad to hear there is so much interest in our plays"

Irish dramatist, folklorist, and theatre manager (1852-1932) who, with William Butler Yeats and Edward Martyn, co-founded the Irish Literary Theatre and the Abbey Theatre. ALS signed “A. Gregory,” one page, 8.5 x 11, Hotel Algonquin letterhead, October 31. Handwritten letter to Mr. Clark, in part: "Many thanks for your invitation—but dates are however not yet fixed for Chicago, so I must not take any engagement at present—I am glad to hear there is so much interest in our plays." In fine condition.
