In March 2011, Trump openly questioned Obama's citizenship and eligibility to serve as President. He played a leading role in 'birther' conspiracy theories and demanded that the White House release Obama's birth certificate. President Obama released this 'long form' version of his Hawaii birth certificate in response to the assertions that he was not a natural-born US citizen. In September 2016, Trump publicly acknowledged that Obama was born in the United States. Encapsulated in a PSA/DNA authentication holder, grading the autograph as "NM-MT 8."
