Handwritten letter from Antioch College, where he served as president. In part: "I mourn over our friend Mr. Tillinghast. A good man has departed. He might have lived longer, but he gave his life to the world. We have the blessing of his labors, & we trust he is having his reward. Every good man who died is a victor going home from the battle-field with his laurels secure." In fine condition.
