Naval officer’s jacket worn on screen by Bing Crosby as singer Johnny Cabot in the 1944 film Here Come the Waves, a romantic comedy musical directed by Mark Sandrich and co-starring Sonny Tufts, Ann Doran, and an uncredited Yvonne De Carlo. The dark blue double-breasted military jacket contains the original “40 S” size tag, a pocket square to left chest, parallel rows of golden buttons to front, and the left shoulder features an embroidered naval insignia patch. The inner right lining bears the original “Studio Clothes, Macintosh, Hollywood” label, and the inner collar is stamped “Paramount Pictures, Inc., Mens Wardrobe.” In fine condition. Accompanied by two vintage sheet music books for the song 'Ac-Cent-Tchu-Ate the Positive,' which is featured in the film, and a certificate of authenticity from the Eastern Costume Company, and by a publicity photo of Crosby wearing the offered jacket.
