Description

Brigadier general in the United States Air Force (1908-2006) who was a flying ace of World War II and is credited with shooting down 13 Japanese aircraft. Three items: a matte-finish 10 x 8 photo of Scott seated in his cockpit, smiling and proudly displaying his victory markings, signed and inscribed in ballpoint, “To my friend and brother pilot—Robert Jaques—Sincerely—Robert L. Scott, Jr., B/Gen. U.S.A.F., 23rd Ftr. Gp. —China—1942—here no win 1972”; a glossy 5 x 7 photo of the same image, signed on the reverse in black ballpoint, “Bob Scott”; and an artistic 8 x 10 print of Scott in uniform in front of the Flying Tigers insignia, signed in pencil, “Robert L. Scott, Jr.” In overall fine condition.
