White of the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Chicago, each one page, 7.25 x 9.25 and 8 x 10.5, FBI United States Department of Justice letterhead, dated between 1968 and 1971. The letters find Hoover sending congratulations for White’s investigations “of the Bank Robbery case involving Joseph D’Argento” and “of the Theft from Interstate Shipment case involving Ned Charles Bakes,” relaying disappointment in White’s supervisory shortcomings related to said “Theft from Interstate Shipment case,” forwarding White’s change of headquarters from Chicago to Washington, D.C., and offering goodwill to White during the latter's hospital stay.
