Scarce 1618 document by the English admiral who defeated the Spanish Armada

English statesman (1536-1624) who served as Lord High Admiral under Elizabeth I and James I. He commanded the English forces during the battles against the Spanish Armada and was chiefly responsible for the victory that saved England from invasion by the Spanish Empire. Manuscript DS, signed “Notingham,” one page, 7.5 x 12.25, December 1618. Financial document amounting to a total of £352.12.4, signed at the conclusion by Charles Howard, 1st Earl of Nottingham. In fine condition, with mild soiling.
