Set of three handwritten song lyrics in pencil by Mal Evans on three off-white 4 x 5.5 sheets of Beverly Wilshire Hotel stationery, no dates, unsigned, with one song entitled “Chris O’Dell,” a former Apple secretary and one of rock's first female tour managers; it reads, in part: “Hang up your hangups / and I’ll hangout with you / spring your soul / the fall will see you through.” Partial lyrics to the second and third sheets: “It never rains / but it pours / that’s how the old stories go / but loving is free / and that’s why I feel / your sunshine / pouring on me” and “I’m feeling spaced / my memories erased / I can’t remember tomorrow / I’m down on my luck / down to the knuckle / going to drown / in my sorrow.” In overall very good to fine condition, with some staining to one of the sheets. Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Tracks. George Harrison wrote the song ‘Miss O'Dell’ as the B-side of his 1973 hit single ‘Give Me Love (Give Me Peace on Earth),’ and like Leon Russell's ‘Pisces Apple Lady,’ it was inspired by Chris O'Dell. Harrison wrote the song in Los Angeles in April 1971 while waiting for O'Dell to pay him a visit at his rented home.
