A rare program from Jimi Hendrix’s 1970 Cry of Love tour, his final tour

Scarce original (not a reprint) program for the New York Pop Festival held at Downing Stadium on Randalls Island on July 17-19, 1970, 8.5 x 11, 24 pages, with the inside featuring images of scheduled performers like the Jimi Hendrix Experience, Grand Funk Railroad, Jethro Tull, Joe Cocker, Van Morrison, Steppenwolf, Richie Havens, Ten Years After, Mountain, Sly and the Family Stone, Ravi Shankar, and The Tony Williams Lifetime, who will be joined on stage by Jack Bruce, Eric Clapton, and special guest star Miles Davis. The first day's (July 17th) performers included Grand Funk Railroad, Jethro Tull, John Sebastian, Steppenwolf, and Jimi Hendrix, who, while on his soon-to-be-known 'Cry of Love' tour, put on a stunning performance with a lengthy set that included Stone Free, Fire, Red House, All Along the Watchtower, Message of Love, Lover Man, Ezy Rider, Foxey Lady, Purple Haze, The Star Spangled Banner, and Voodoo Child (Slight Return). In fine condition.
