ALS, one page both sides, 7.5 x 9.5, December 18, 1815. Handwritten letter to a gentleman, in part: "I beg you will offer my hearty thanks to the London Philosophical Society for the honour they have done me in electing me an honorary member." In fine condition, with a small rusty paperclip impression to the top edge, and minor paper loss along the hinge.
