He wrote several books about Jim Morrison and the Doors, including No One Here Gets Out Alive and the autobiography Wonderland Avenue: Tales of Glamour and Excess. Official ‘R’ hologram-style RIAA gold sales award presented "to Danny Sugerman, for the sale of more than 50,000 units of the Warner Home Video, ‘The Doors: A Tribute to Jim Morrison.’” Framed with its plate and a cover image of the VHS to an overall size of 13 x 17.
