Vintage matte-finish 7.75 x 9.75 Bachrach portrait of the first lady in a gown, taken in 1941, signed in fountain pen, "Eleanor Roosevelt." In fine condition, with the signature a bit light, but fully legible. Accompanied by a White House transmittal letter, explaining that "in these trying times, it is not possible for the President to spare the necessary time for autographing."
