Aviation pioneer (1888-1989) who invented the biplane used in WWI called the Sopwith Camel. Two items: a glossy 10 x 8 photo of a Sopwith Camel, signed in blue felt tip, "T. O. M. Sopwith, 1977"; and an ALS signed "T. O. M. Sopwith," one page both sides, 5.5 x 8, June 26, 1975, in part: "Yes I knew Lindbergh but not intimately—I remember his coming to the Royal Aero Club after his Paris flight. As far as I know he never flew any of my aeroplanes." In fine condition.
