Partly-printed vellum DS, signed “P. Henry,” one page, 15 x 13, August 20, 1786. As governor of Virginia, Henry grants "unto David Shotton a certain Tract or Parcel of Land, containing One Thousand Acres…being in the County of Fayette." Boldly signed at the conclusion by Patrick Henry. The white paper seal affixed to the lower left remains intact. In fine condition, with scattered light toning and tiny areas of loss at fold intersections. Accompanied by an engraved portrait bearing a facsimile signature.
