Description

ALS signed “C. Mack,” one page, 8.25 x 11, American Base Ball Club of Philadelphia letterhead, August 30, 1950. Handwritten letter to his niece, "Miss Maurie McGillicuddy," to whom he calls "Peggy," in part: "The chances are that the Philadelphia club will be in the World Series & play the club that wins in the American League our race is good that can't pick a winner at this time. Am real diserpointed this year as I expected to make a good showing but my pitchers failed me and instead of being at the top will finish in the last place. As I am old enough to be your Grand Father you will not mind my sending you my [my] best wishes to you and your Father. Will look for you. in Chicago." Matted and framed with the original hand-addressed envelope and a photo to an overall size of 25.25 x 25.5. In fine condition. Accompanied by a full letter of authenticity from JSA.
