Army Air Service pilot (1897-1938) known during the 1920s and 1930s as a record breaking aviator who used a series of Texaco-sponsored aircraft, setting 214 point-to-point records in the United States and Europe. In the 1937 The Mysterious Pilot movie serial, Hawks was billed as the ‘fastest airman in the world.’ Vintage matte-finish 8 x 10 photo of Hawks wearing his aviator goggles and a fur coat, signed and inscribed in fountain pen, "Bruno & Blythe, sincerely appreciating your congratulations, Frank M. Hawks.” In fine condition.
