Description

Son (1702-1775) of William Penn and hereditary proprietor of the Province of Pennsylvania. Large vellum manuscript DS, signed “Tho. Penn,” one page, 30 x 22.5, February 12, 1730. Indenture for a transaction involving land in Philadelphia, signed at the conclusion in ink by Penn and the parties involved. In fine condition, with heavy intersecting folds, and the first half of Penn's signature quite light, but still legible.
