Document by which King George V appoints "Charles Ernest Goddard Esquire, Doctor of Medicine, Major in Our Royal Army Medical Corps Territorial Force…to be an Officer of Our said Most Excellent Order of the British Empire." Signed at the conclusion in fountain pen by Prince Edward as Grand Master of the Order of the British Empire; the head bears a stamped facsimile signature of the king. In very good to fine condition, with creasing to the top and a fold across the bottom.
