British physician (1865-1940) known for his medical missionary work in Newfoundland and Labrador. Two signed books, both later printing hardcovers: Tales of the Labrador and Northern Neighbors, both signed on the first free end page in ink, "'Greetings from an ice fan,'—Wilfred T. Grenfell," with playful sketches of a man on a small patch of ice in the middle of the ocean. In very good to fine condition, with minor rubbing to boards and slight fraying to spine ends of Northern Neighbors.
