Handwritten lyrics by Dee Dee Ramone for the song ‘It's Not for Me to Know,’ unsigned, penned in black ballpoint on an off-white 7.75 x 10.5 notebook page. Ramone writes the title above, “Its not for me to no,” and the lyrics below, in full: “Easy come easy go, to me that wasn’t fun, it was something then, I didn't think was so bad / I am looking out my window, but I don't know where I am, I've given up trying to understand, what I can't / Ive stood under the moonlight, to ullimate [illuminate] myself, something I fell into, from being kicked around / no one seems to notice, seeing from smoke screened eyes / you can get what you want, but I don’t think its true / I don't have any illusions anymore, I've done all I can do, Its not for me to no, Its not for me to no, Its not for me to no, Its not for me to know.” The sheet bears a few pencil notations. In fine condition.
Although Dee Dee had left the Ramones following 1989's Brain Drain, ¡Adios Amigos! features six of his compositions, including three that were previously released, including 'It's Not for Me to Know,' which was originally recorded for the 1994 album I Hate Freaks Like You, which Dee Dee performed with I.C.L.C.
