Description

Massachusetts lawyer (1731-1814) who served as one of the prosecutors of British soldiers during the Boston Massacre trial; he later signed the Declaration of Independence. ADS, signed "Paine Atty," one page, 3.75 x 3.25, May 1765. Handwritten bill for his legal services in the amount of £2.4.2, including charges for "service of writs," "entry & court dues," and "attendance 5 days." In fine condition.
