This is an original first issue 1984 album from Japan (Cat# P-11369) released in 1983, and the un-played original record is included. In fine condition. Accompanied by full letters of authenticity from REAL and Walls of Sound.
The consignor notes: Roth was obtained in September 1988 during his Japanese tour; the Van Halens were obtained in late January 1989 at the Tokyo Narita Airport upon arriving for their two February shows at the Tokyo Dome; and Anthony was obtained on August 21, 2013, at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Chicago, Illinois.
1984 remains Van Halen's most successful album with more than 10 million copies shipped in the United States alone. It produced numerous classic songs, including ‘Jump,’ which reached the top of the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart, ‘Panama,’ ‘I'll Wait,’ and the MTV video sensation ‘Hot for Teacher.’ 1984 was the last Van Halen album to feature original front man David Lee Roth (until 2012's A Different Kind of Truth) and the final album with all four original members.
