Description

Partly-printed DS, signed “B. Lincoln,” one page, 9.25 x 4.75, June 1, 1804. As collector of the Port of Marblehead, Lincoln certifies an import of “one Case of Wine numbered and marked as per margin, containing Four & an half galons," delivered by Henry Gallison of Marblehead "in the Sch'r Hiram, John Hooper, M'r, an American Vessel, from Bordeaux." Signed at the conclusion by Lincoln as collector, and countersigned by Joseph Wilson as inspector. In fine condition. Accompanied by an engraving bearing facsimile signature.
