ANS signed “GBS,” penned at the bottom of a typed letter from F. H. Fisher of the United Press Associations, one page, 8 x 10, October 17, 1946. Salisbury's letter to George Bernard Shaw, in part: "One of our client newspapers in Cairo has asked us to obtain from you an article written by you in your own Shavian manner on a reversed version of the Nuremberg trials, with the Germans as the conquerors trying the Allied War Leaders." Shaw's terse response: "No. Out of the question," who signs below with his initials and adds the date. In very good to fine condition, with light creasing, and toning to the edges.
