The English-language section of a four-language ship’s papers issued to “John Murphy, master or commander of the Schooner called Globe…lying at present in the port of Baltimore and bound for Bordeaux, and laden with Sugar, Coffee & Logwood." Signed boldly at the conclusion by President James Madison. Mounted, matted, and framed to an overall size of 21.25 x 17.5. In very good to fine condition, with intersecting folds, paper loss to the top, and a tiny edge tear just touching the last letter of the signature.
