Early signed book: Statues of Sam Houston and Stephen F. Austin, Erected in Statuary Hall of the Capitol Building at Washington. First edition. Washington, DC: Government Printing Office, 1905. Hardcover, 7 x 10.5, 143 pages. Signed and inscribed on the front pastedown in fountain pen, "To B. J. Hanacik, from his congressman, Lyndon B. Johnson, April 10, 1938." Autographic condition: fine, with scattered light foxing to signed page. Book condition: VG/None, with some scuffing to boards and foxing to endpapers. A great Texas-associated autograph from Johnson, signed during his second year in Congress.
