Three-time Indianapolis 500 winner (1906-1981) who considered his most important accomplishment the invention of a device that made it possible for amputees to drive. ANS signed “Mauri Rose, Winner Indy '500,' 1941-47-48,” one page on a 5.5 x 3.25 postcard, December 14, 1971. Rose sends a postcard with holiday greetings, in full: "Merry Xmas & Happy New Year." In fine condition, with a light postal cancellation touching the inscription.
