Handwritten letter to Millicent Hearst, the wife of media tycoon William Randolph Hearst, in full: "My husband and I are so very sorry that another engagement presents us from accepting your kind invitation to luncheon next Monday. Thank-you so much for asking us." In fine condition. Accompanied by two postal telegraphs from Churchill to Hearst, dated October 18 and 26, 1929, both of which regard tea or dinner get-togethers.
