Group lot of three Life Magazines from the personal collection of Apollo 15 astronaut Al Worden: an issue from September 27, 1963, with the front cover headed "The New Astronauts: They go head-over-heels into training," and showing Frank Borman, James Lovell, and Tom Stafford learning to eat in weightlessness during training inside a reduced-gravity aircraft, aka the 'vomit comet'; an issue from February 10, 1967, with the front cover headed "The Nation's Goodby, To Astronauts Grissom, White, Chaffee," and showing Gus Grissom's caisson during the Apollo 1 funeral in Arlington; and a Special Edition issue from August 11, 1969, with front cover headed "To the Moon and Back," and depicting Buzz Aldrin on the lunar surface, with his visor showing a small reflection of the photographer, Neil Armstrong. In overall fine to very good condition, with wear to spines and covers; the front cover to the "New Astronauts" issue is almost completely detached.
