Circa 1980s Soyuz spacecraft translational hand controller in its original gray pill-shaped metal housing with cover, measuring approximately 11″ long and 3.5″ in diameter, with integral mounting bracket and dual umbilical cable. On board the Soyuz spacecraft, the translational hand controller would be used to move the craft up, down, left, right, backward, and forward in space. The controller has 360° of movement, and locks into place when pushed all the way to the edge. The knob has 90° of movement, and can also be locked into place.
