Chuck Colby is mentioned in Steve Wozniak's book, iWoz, as having introduced him to early satellite television, leading to his departure from Apple to form the universal remote control company CL 9. In an email to Colby, Wozniak wrote: 'You are the greatest inventor I know. I'd gladly trade places. I hope you get more and more recognition.'
