Tom Stafford’s flown sterling silver Apollo-Soyuz Test Project (ASTP) Robbins medal, approximately 1.25″ in diameter, with a raised mission insignia design on the face, and the reverse featuring raised text, "First Joint U.S.—U.S.S.R. Space Flight," and engraved with the launch and entry dates, July 15, 1975 and July 24, 1975. Serial numbered “61F” on the edge. Condition is mint state, with slight tarnishing. Includes its original matching plastic case. Accompanied by a flight-certified letter of authenticity signed by Stafford, who states that the medal “is one of the originals made by the Robbins Company in 1975. We carried less than 100 medallions on the flight. This medallion is one of the few actually flown and has serial number 61 F engraved on it. The medallion comes from my collection.” An exceptionally desirable flown silver medallion from the historic ASTP Mission, carried into low earth orbit by one of NASA's most accomplished astronauts—Stafford flew on four legendary missions, has flown three different types of spacecraft, and logged 507 hours of space flight.
