Manuscript DS in French, one page, 9.5 x 14.25, August 17, 1785. Endorsement on a secretarially signed Louis XVI document temporarily appointing Sub Lieutenant Louis Georges Eugene Meynier, Count de La Salle, to command of the Cauville Company of the 3rd Infantry Regiment during the absence of the Commanding Officer for the moths of July and August 1785. In very good condition, with creasing, toning, and foxing.
