Description

Two TLSs, signed "Vivian" and "C. Herzog," each one page, 8.5 x 11, Representative of Israel to the United Nations letterhead, dated September 3, 1975, and January 19, 1976, both to Daniel Patrick Moynihan. The first, in part: "I should be happy to address the student body of the United States Army War College at the United Nations on future prospects of the Middle East…The only reservation I have is that I am due to address the Special Assembly on that day." The second, in full: "At the request of the Rotary Club of Haifa, I am pleased to send you the enclosed." In overall fine condition, with some light creasing, staple holes, and paperclip impressions. Accompanied by Moynihan's retained carbon copies of his letters to Herzog, plus the copy of the Rotary Club's letter expressing appreciation for Moynihan's stance on the Zionist cause.
