ALS signed “Wm. H. Taft,” two pages on two adjoining sheets, 5 x 8, Supreme Court of the United States letterhead, April 23, 1926. Letter to John Marshall Holcombe, Jr., in full: "I congratulate you on the coming of your fifteenth reunion. You have now been out of college long enough to take account of stock. You have, most of you, settled down to your life's work. A compassion of your experiences will be full of interest. I envy you the pleasure you will have in reviewing your college memories in the light of your present serious work. I hope your class will have a large meeting and that you will go home stimulated by your reunion joyously to buckle to again in the effort to lead useful lives and to make your influence felt for better things in your communities and in the country at large." In fine condition. Accompanied by the original hand-addressed mailing envelope.
