Partly-printed vellum DS as Governor of Virginia, signed “Jas. Monroe,” one page, 14.5 x 11.25, June 17, 1801. Governor Monroe grants to Isaac Senegar "One hundred and forty acres" lying and being in the County of Bath, on the Waters of Little Sinking Creek, joining the land of John Lynch." Signed at the conclusion by James Monroe, with the lower left corner retaining remnants of the original red wax seal. In good to very good condition, with overall soiling and staining affecting appearance.
