Three Western Union telegrams sent by Irish political leaders to Ethel Kennedy at Good Samaritan Hospital after RFK was shot, each one page, 8.25 x 6, June 5, 1968. The well-wishers are President Eamon de Valera ("Deeply grieved to hear of the wicked attempt on your husband's life. May god spare him to you and to his family and to his country"), Taoiseach Jack Lynch ("My colleagues in the Government of Ireland and I are appalled at the attack on your husband. We send our prayers and good wishes for his speedy recovery"), and Minister for External Affairs Frank Aiken ("I was deeply shocked at the terrible news of the attempted assassination of your husband. I pray that with God's help he will effect a full recovery and be restored to you his children and his country"). In overall fine condition.
