TLS signed “Tom,” one page, 8.5 x 11, no date but circa 1980. Letter to Jim Adams, in full: "You're an understanding person so I'm sure you realize my need to be alone with Verne these early weeks in our work together. It's a terribly important relationship for me—the last that I'll probably ever attempt. In a couple of weeks we'll be off to New York with completed scripts and then to England with my new version of 'Clothes.' Then I trust you'll take over the house again. Verne and I are giving the creatures all necessary attention and the work on the fence appears to be in progress." In very good to fine condition, with moderate intersecting folds and light overall wrinkling. Accompanied by the original envelope, which Williams has annotated in his own hand, "Jim Adams, Personal," and signed on the reverse, "Tennessee."
