Two items: a large fountain pen signature, "Franklin D. Roosevelt," on an off-white 5 x 2 slip, annotated on the reverse in pencil by noted collector Raleigh DeGeer Amyx, stating that it was signed as president and acquired from his secretary, Toi Bachelder; and a handwritten document in pencil, one page, 8 x 10.5, appropriating funds at his Warm Springs Foundation, in full: "Contingent Fund, New Buildings, equipment, pools: $200,000, Debts: 75,000, Polio Experimentation: 50,000 = 325,000. Balance, Endowment Fund: $700,000." In fine condition, with a paperclip impression to the top of the notes sheet.
