Vintage 1:40 scale model of an Apollo spacecraft by Walter J. Hyatt, Inc., used by NASA as part of an outreach program during the late 1960s and early 1970s. The model, measuring approximately 26.5″ tall, features the payload section of the craft: the command module, the service module, and the lunar module; the escape rocket and tower are included. The capsule is set upon a 9″ diameter wooden base with golden Apollo plate, and the Hyatt label is affixed to the bottom. In very good to fine condition, with expected wear from use and storage, including scattered light scuffing, and some chipping to paint.
