Book condition: VG/VG, with sunning to jacket spines and edgewear to jackets. Elmer 'Bud' Hale, Jr. was a veteran of World War II who fought in the Battle of the Bulge, and received the Bronze Star and the French Croix D'Guerre for his role in liberating France. He went on to serve as chairman of the National Bank of McAlester.
