Football coach (1871-1954) responsible for devising the double-wing formation. ALS signed "Glenn S. Warner," one page, 8.5 x 11, personal letterhead, January 5, 1933. Letter to one of his former players James McIntrye, in part: "Thank you for your assistance in interesting some good football prospects in going to Temple. I feel that I have made a good move because here at Stanford, I never have had, and there seems to be no prospect of ever having as good material as Stanford's greater rivals have. At Temple, I feel there is a chance to materially better their football situation. I have been told that they make it pretty easy for boys of outstanding football ability to go to school there. I would appreciate it if you would contact that outstanding quarterback you mentioned and report results." In fine condition, with some light creasing and a couple of small stains.
