Fields and Charlie McCarthy from the Silly Symphony short Mother Goose Goes Hollywood, which depicts Fields as Humpty Dumpty shaking ash from his cigar as McCarthy the puppet looks on. Accomplished in graphite on untrimmed 12 x 10 animation paper. Character images measures 7.5 x 7 (Fields) and 2.75 x 4.75 (McCarthy). In fine condition, with pin holes to upper corners.
T. (Thornton) Hee was an American animator, director, and teacher (1911-1988), who worked at companies like Leon Schlesinger Productions, UPA, and Terrytoons. He joined Walt Disney Animation Studios around 1937 and worked there on three separate occasions until 1961; he is most recognized for directing the ‘Dance of the Hours’ segment of Fantasia.
