American politician (1909-2005) who served as a congressman from New Jersey from 1949 to 1989, overseeing the impeachment process against Richard Nixon as chairman of the House Judiciary Committee. Two items: an official printing of House Resolution 629, one page, 7.25 x 11, October 23, 1973, stating that "the Committee on the Judiciary shall…investigate the official conduct of Richard M. Nixon to determine whether…he has been guilty of any high crime or misdemeanor," signed in the lower margin in black felt tip by Rodino; and a TLS, one page, 4.25 x 5.5, House of Representatives memorandum letterhead, March 4, 1974, in part: "I'm pleased to autograph the enclosed resolutions for your document collection."
