Description

ALS as president in pencil, one page, 5.25 x 8, [February 15, 1909]. Letter to Secretary of War Luke E. Wright, in full: "Can't Chaplain Scott be appointed at once? I'd like to commission him tomorrow. Can't the Board of Chaplains meet in Washington? Can't Brown be substituted for Grover, who is rich, and Board meet in Washington? I think this important." In very good to fine condition, with some light toning and wrinkling.
